Gold Leaf Chocolate?

Is there any way to Gold leaf your chocolate pieces to put on a cake? I tried shimmer dust in gold and it turned out looking like wet sand...

Aren't there pure gold sheets available to do gold leafing ...anyone know if they are edible?
