A friend asked if I knew the recipe for a cake that was made by the Alba Bakery in Brooklyn, NY until it closed a few years ago. It was called the Kiwanis Special. She doesn't know if it had anything to do with the Kiwanis clubs or if it was originally made for them. I would love to have the recipe if anyone has it.

I found this website and read somewhere that they were the original owners of Alba Bakery but sold that and opened a new bakery.
