I don't know if y'all remember my post about ordering cake dummies from Dallas Foam, Inc. but I recieved them yesterday and they are fantastic!!! They were well packaged and the price for them including shipping can NOT be beat icon_biggrin.gif
I can't wait to start trying to decorate a wedding cake or other kinds for that matter. It takes a lot of worry away knowing I have the cake dummies. Before I had to try to figure out what to do with the cake once it was finished but now I don't have to worry about that any more!! icon_smile.gif

I'm sooooooo excited!!!!!

I agree. I got mine last week. I spoke with them on the phone during my ordering process and they were very nice and helpful. I ordered 30.00 worth of dummies and the shipping was only 12.00. I was ecstatic!!! It took about a week from date of order to delivery.

Just an FYI, for anyone planning to attend the ICES Convention in Grapevine in July; Dallas Foam is in the neighborhood. Well, okay, 10 miles away, but for Texas, that's darned near next door! icon_lol.gif

If anyone wants more info, please feel free to message me.

edit: Dallas Foam, despite the name, is not in Dallas -- it's in northeast Tarrant County, as is Grapevine. Easy drive, no worries. thumbs_up.gif

I've posted in other threads, but haven't seen a reply... My question is did anyone get holes cut in their dummies?? At the bottom of the order form it asks that you advise if you wants holes and if so how many and what size????

Thanks in advance!

I'm just curious, what are the instructions for cleaning them? I purchased my dummies from a local merchant and I covered them with plaster to try to eliminate it from breaking apart. I decorated them last week and I'm ready to disassemble. I was just going to use some light soap and water. Did yours come with instructions?

I shrink wrapped mine. I would just scrape and reuse. Don't submerge them or get them really wet. They will be impossible to dry.

Thanks Jen123. Did you use the shrink wrap used for baskets? Is that what you are talking about?

Wipe off any icing possible with a paper towel, spray thoroughly with Dawn Power Dissolver and let it sit for about 1 hour. Then use a wet towel to wipe off the rest of the excess and rinse off.

YES. It worked really well. You can wipe them off or re-wrap
