I just did my first dummy cake for my daughters b~day, last saturday, it was great, no body even tought it was a fake cakes, well i enjoy a lot doing it, but it was so hard to decorate it. I "glue" the dummy on the cake board with BC but it was moving so much that i almost quit!!!!!
After a few tryies i just hold the cake trying not to mess anything. How can you put some weight on a dummy so that is easier to decorate!!!!!

Thank you in advance icon_smile.gif

Carpet tape works great for attaching dummies to the board. If you don't have that, try royal icing, or even non-toxic glue.

I read in one of Nicholas Lodge's books that you can use royal icing to "glue" the dummy on the board, but be sure to let the royal dry before icing the dummy.
