Since everyone here is blessed with wonderful ideas for cakes, does anybody have some suggestions for a Chicken Little cake? I have an order in two weeks for one, but have never seen the movie. I'm still stuck on boring plain square sheet cakes with border and writing instead of something really cool. (why? cause I'm too chicken myself to venture into something really creative icon_lol.gif) So if anyone can help I'd greatly appreciate it. icon_biggrin.gif

Here's a link with some really cute coloring pages, perhaps you could do a frozen buttercream transfer and add to the top of a cake.

That website is awesome. What do you mean about the frozen bc design? Is that where you would outline the design on wax paper?? Not sure I'm familiar w/that.

someone on the site did one recently - I dont' remember who, but I saw it in the gallery... it was posted within the last day or two, I think, so you should be able to find it by looking at the last uploaded pictures for the past couple of days.

good luck!

Here are complete instructions on how to do the frozen buttercream transfer. I have done the and they are fairly simple to do. So thought it would be really easy to do for this project.

Hope that helps, would love to see how it turns out.

Peggy, I have a question. With the transfer, what sized tip do you use? #1? Then I see they use a thin tip to put in the color, when you put in the color, it's not going to be smooth correct?, at least not until you smooth the back in Right?? This is an awesome idea, just a little confused. Do you use buttercream colored frosting?? Thank you

I have only done a transfer a couple of times. I just kind of experimented and used the tip I thought was best. When filling in the color, I tried to keep it as smooth as I could (which wasn't very) that way I didn't have as much smoothing to do at the end. Does that make sense?
I just used my regular buttercream recipe and tinted it to the colors I needed. Didn't have any problems doing it that way.
Perhaps someone with a little more knowledge can give you some suggestions as well.
Hope this helps some..........
