Hi all:

Just wanted to share. I am doing a fundraiser and called DH trying to find a good deal for their mixes. They checked with safeway to see when the would be going on sale. Here was his response:

Judy

I tracked down when Duncan Hines will be on deal at Safeway. On April 18th, we have a 10 for $10 sale. This is literally less expensive than what the supermarket pays (called a loss leader), so if you can wait until then, that is your best bet. Thanks for your business.

Joel

Just thought I would share so if you want to stock up and maybe alert your local safeway that you're planning on emptying thier shelf....lol.

We have a Winco & a Food-4-Less and they always have their Pillsbury mixes for .79 and my favorite is the Devil's Food..... Is DH a better choice?

I usually go to Wal-Mart and they are 98 cents, but they don't have all the flavors. So I will be there as well on the 18th. Thanks for the lead!

Hmmm? I get mine at Walmart for 98 cents. That is their everyday price...

The walmarts near me don't carry cake mix and the one that does has 1 kind and brand and it's NEVER instock. Normally DH runs about 2.50 a box regular price around here. So, 10 for $10 is a steal!

I'll have to check out food-4-less, it's a bit of a drive but might be worth it.

Yes, walmart around here actually sells them for $.88, the only trouble is, sometimes you dont get the best variety. But, until 4th of July, Price Chopper in our area has them for $.99, with a good variety, including the red velvet!

$2.50!!!!!
Whew, I'm glad I live here & not there. Just about every brand runs from $.78 - $1.19 all the time here. I usually find DH for $.98. There's an IGA here that will sell DH for $.75 on sale, frequently.

$2.50???????

Holy crap thats expensive! The regular non-sale price at most grocery stores here for DH mix is $1.69.... I get it for like 98c at Walmart, our Super Walmarts carry almost all flavors, and then I see DH on sale frequently at our supermarkets for 10 for $10.
