Does anyone have any tips on a cheap substitue for petal veiners. Living in the Caribbean these things aren't readily available and when they are they are exorbitantly priced. Even if you order cheap stuff off the internet the shipping kills you. Any advice is greatly appreciated. TIA

You could find other objects with the texture you want and use them to venier.

I snipped some sturdy leaves off the bushes around my house. Worked better than the Wilton veiners from the kit.

I have used the sculpey mold maker clay found in craft stores. I used real petals to make my own molds. It's about 10.00, I think, and can make 2 or 3 double sided molds depending on the size.

Good luck!

I use the leave from silk flowers that have the plastic veins on them

Thanks for the ideas. I guess I'll have to do some experimenting.
