I am making a birthday cake in the shape of a curling stone...I'm okay on how to do the base...but does anyone have any suggestions on how to make the handle? I was thinking to find something plastic to act as a handle and then cover it in fondant...?!?! Help! thanks!

whats a curling stone? if you have a week or so, you can make it out of gumpaste, it will dry hard . stick a skewer or dowel into the ends while wet so thatyou have something to hold it into the cake.
