Ok- I just got my first couple colors of luster dust and can't wait to use them. I am just wondering if everyone eats the portions covered in dust or if they toss that fondant out before eating? I know mine say not FDA approved on the label- but that doesn't necessarilt mean it's not edible.

What do you do?

in europe it is food safe approved. the amounts are so miniscule that i dont find it an issue. i eat it with a smile on my face because it is so darn pretty!

Dust away! I even use super pearl to dust my lace presses before pressing the fondant in the mold. The fondant releases easily, and my lace is already dusted and ready to apply to the cake.

I make "paints" with it, and even spray it through my airbrush (mixed with vodka or everclear)hol content.

I don't think it has a taste, nobody seems to pay any attention to it when they are eating.

Have fun!
