Need Help With Ideas For 9Yo Girl?

I am doing a cake for a 9 year old girl. I have been given complete creative control. My problem is that I have no idea what 9 year old girls are in to these days. My daughter is only 4. Does anyone have any ideas?
My stepdaughter is also 9- it's a really tough age. She's getting really into the girly stuff- lip gloss, purses, sleepovers, etc. You could do a pre-teen theme with all sorts of girly stuff- lipstick, shoes, purses, cell phone or ipod.
Or you could do the tiara cake...GL
That is so funny you said that. I think I am going to do a purse cake for her. I have never done one before. Wish me luck!
