Any way to quickly get the condensation off a cake?? Can I put it in front of a fan?? I need to deliver in two hours and it looks awful right now b/c I just took it out of the fridge about half an hour ago.

Will the condensation go away before my delivery time?? Should I just leave it alone??

thanks, christine

Christine - I had this same problem a few days ago...It's because it's gotten so hot down here the past week or so, I think. I put mine under my ceiling fan...had it on high. If you have an oscillating (turning) tabletop kind of fan, that would probably be better...and just turn your cake occasionally so it gets all sides of it. After about an hour or so it was fine. The only thing I had to do was clean up along the bottom edge where the condensation had run down the cake. Good luck and let us know how it turns out for you! So sorry you're having to deal with this...this Southern heat can be such a pain in sooooo many ways. icon_rolleyes.gif

Hi there....don't you hate when things go wrong the last minute????

Anyway...what is the cake covered with? If it's BC that has crusted or fondant, try dabbing it ever so lightly with a Viva towel....

wish you the best...

it is iced in BC w/some fondant stripes and polka dots. i tried dabbing a bit and was fine on the BC....but the fondant was a little sticky, so I just left that alone. was hoping there was a quicker way!!

wasn't thinking when I took the order and the filling must be kept in the fridge!!! aaaarrrrgggghhhh!!!

I hope everything turns out okay but for future reference for the fondant try FondX. I just started using this product and love it because you can put it in the fridge and it won't sweat. I did a baby shower cake a couple weekends ago and a duplicate today and it had cream cheese icing under the fondant so I had to keep it in the fridge. It was wonderful! Not even a hint of condensation!
Just thought I'd let you know!
