Edible Image Sheets - What Do You Prefer?

Even though they're sometimes called "rice paper" and they're often just described as "wafer paper," when you get a package and read the ingredients, it's potato starch. They're much more coarse than icing sheets, and the ink spreads a bit on them, making a softer, less intense image. I put them on my "doggy" cakes because I don't want to use sugar...and they're cheap. But, the icing sheets make a far, far nicer image. I'm about to try butterflies on the wafer paper. That seems to be a pretty popular application. Both kinds of paper have their place. The wafer paper is so inexpensive, I'd recommend buying some along with icing sheets and just doing some printing. You'll quickly decide when and how you're going to use each.
