How can I say thank you for all of your prayers and good thoughts during this difficult time. Cary was a very special young man who has had physical problems all of his life. At his visitation close to 100 people came to pay their regards. He knew people that his parents were totally unaware of. His service brought just as many and everyone had such wonderful stories of how he touched them. I thought I would share the poem that I wrote for him and that was read at his service.
Thank you again.
In loving memory of Cary
Some people are meant to live a long time
And some, like Cary are hard to find.
He started his life with problems galore
And throughout his life they became even more.
He loved to collect and his room is full.
But room for one more coke bottle was his golden rule!
He would talk Granny into taking him, funds in hand.
Always another treasure he was sure to land.
Two rabbits, at home, are waiting to see
But wait they must, just like you and me.
One day we will see him with wings spread wide.
Hell be waiting with Sissy and others at his side.
If he could he would tell you dont cry for me here.
For where I am there are only happy tears.
Grandpa and others are with me, showing me the way.
And assuring me I will see you again some day.
You wont believe it. I am tall, strong and proud.
Im no longer hindered by my earthly shroud.
I have no more anguish, agony or pain.
No problems with me to heaven came.
Today, Ive seen my makers face.
Each moment here is filled with love and grace.
He told me there will be no more struggle or pain.
He was waiting for me and even called me by name!
I know it will be hard for those left behind.
Let my laugh, my smile my humor come to mind.
I so loved being here for my 39 years.
Mamaplease dont cry too many tears.
Ill keep an eye on all of those I love.
Ill remind you with a star or the flight of a dove.
There are Grandparents, Cousins, lots of family here.
I arrived in heaven without an ounce of fear.
Dont worry, Ill look into that PR spot.
You know I loved talking to people a lot.
There are lots and lots of animals here too.
Dogs, cats, horses and camels to name a few!
If I could I would tell Cary we miss you so much
I wish for one more hug, one more goose, one more touch.
I would tell him Ill think about him every day
And when it is my turn HE can show me the way.
Love,
Aunt Linda

Bump
This is so pretty; just throught that I would bump it up.
Will be praying for you and your family. I'm sorry to hear of Cary's passing, but thankful he is in a better place and free from pain.
Your poem is a beautiful tribute to him. I'm sure he's smiling down on you knowing how much you loved him.
May Christ grant you and your family the strength and peace you need at this time.
AlamoSweets, I am so sorry for your loss and will will continue to pray for you and your family. Your poem is absolutely beautiful and a wonderful reminder to us that as hard as it is to loose someone we love so much, they are in a much more wonderful place than we are. I wish for you peace and strength to get through this difficult time.
Gail
