Okay, I have taken some advice and different ideas from a few people on CC. But I have melded them into my own idea. Go with me on this. It seems a little out there, and I may be getting in over my head, but I would like some feedback on what y'all think. I am concerned about the support of the cake and the arm of the scooping part. I was thinking of making a raised place for the cake to set by putting down a wood block and covering it with foil or something. Then placing a board above(screwing it to the block, I guess) that to place the carved cake on. But in the board drill a hole at an angle so that I can put a dowel rod through it. Then I would connect the dowels some how and put the bucket on the end. I would decorate the dowel rods to look like the arms of the backhoe. Think it will work? Does it even make since? Am I completely crazy? Have i watched one too many episodes of Ace of Cakes? Any feedback would be appreciated.
