Cakers,
I am making 50 2" diameter individual cakes for a baby shower and was planning on using Poured Fondant to cover them. I am going to use the recipe out of The Cake Bible but was wondering if anyone has any tips for me before I get myself into trouble.
Thanks,
Lori V.

A great tip I read on here was to add white chocolate to the poured fondant. The reason why is that poured fondant can be really translucent, and adding the white chocolate makes it a little more opaque=) The other big tip I have read is to place the cakes on a cooling rack with a sheet pan underneath. The pour over cakes, and you can still collect and use the stuff on the sheet pan=) Those are the 2 biggest tips I have read on here! HTH some, Jen

On Bake, Decorate, Celebrate they just melted a tub of icing and poured it over petit fours. I tried it out this weekend and it worked fine. So maybe you try that bc im thinkn bout doing it with a bigger cake tonight
