Hello everyone,
I have a wedding cake due in two weeks .The lady wants natural flowers on it. I kind of have an idea as to how to make the flower arrangements. The only thing I'm wondering is what you use as the flower base . I mean do you just use floral tape, and stick them in the cake? icon_confused.gificon_confused.gificon_confused.gif Or do you put them inthe floral foam ,and then set it it on the cake? icon_confused.gificon_confused.gificon_confused.gif
I thank you guys in advance icon_biggrin.gif

If you're going to stick them in the cake, you can wrap the stems in floral tape, but don't wrap the whole bunch together, that would be too much for the cake. You have to stick each stem in seperately. As for using a base of some sort, you can use floral foam, I would wrap it in saran wrap and you need a plastic base for the foam. The foam isn't foodsafe, and leaves a gross green residue everywhere. If the flowers are safe, I would just stick them directly in the cake.
