Food Dehydrator??? For Gum Paste?

I saw on one of the old cake contest on tv tonight and they showed one of them using a food dehydrator to dry the gum paste pieces. Has anyone used that before? It looks like a good idea for any flat items.

I use 1 for fondant and gumpaste and LOVE IT!!
