I have been looking at this cupcake carrier too! I saw it on the Rachel Ray Show - has anyone ordered one. Im just not sure about the clasps at the bottom

Very cool!! I have a cupcake carrier thing that I think I got at WalMart (made by Oneida) but I find I make my cupcakes too big and there's not enough room between each cupcake, or above them icon_mad.gif

I have one and LOVE it. Fiirst, it holds three dozen, second, the cups are nice and deep, so they can't tip over. Third, there is a lot of space between layers so you can have more than just a schmear of frosting on them. Four, it makes you look professional. I would be embarassed showing up at a function where I'm trying to drum up business with a cheapo Oneida carrier that has very little clearance between layers and also means it takes away my muffin pan while I'm transporting and so I would want it to be extra clean - or basically never used as a muffin pan where it would discolor from use.

They only thing about this thing I don't like is that it's JUST a tad too small to put a stacked cake inside. Wouldn't that be awesome to be able to fit a 10 inch and 6 inch cake inside? Even for a rectangular cake, too narrow... Well, the other thing that is a pain is that it is HUGE for storage, but it is very good.

P.S. here's a pic or two of the cupcake with two layers stacked so you can see how much clearance there is:

The clasps are very sturdy and won't release. it's nice because you don't have to lower trays into the deep pit. I looked at martha stewarts at Kmart that holds 27 cupcakes, but everything about that carrier was so flimsy that it wasn't worth the $12 they were asking.

This is like a really good rubbermaid container, not cheap feeling and very secure.

That does look like there's a lot of clearance between each row!! Very cool. Right now I just put my cupcakes inside a sheet cake box, on top of a sheet of non-slip shelf liner and cross my fingers that they make it to their destination. icon_rolleyes.gif

Oh, that's good for those times you don't want to leave your carrier behind! But 100 inserts would take me FOREVER to go through!

Plus, I'm the "green" baker and I try to stay away from disposables as much as possible, but sometimes it's not feasible! Cool! I wish boxes weren't so expensive. that's why I'm shocked sometimes at what people charge for cakes because how can you make any profit if you are charging $25 and have the cake expense, icing, food coloring, supplies, and then cake boxes to add to it too, you know?

Wow, Doug those look cool! I never can fit that many cupcakes in a box, for fear that they'll bump each other.

They sell four inserts(12 cupcakes each) that fit into a 1/4 sheet cake box at Country Kitchen. http://www.countrykitchensa.com/catalog/product.aspx?T=1&productId=629283
