I love the look of fondant butterflies but I have no clue how to make them? Is there a pattern for them somewhere on here?? Thanks! icon_smile.gif

I make mine by using a butterfly shaped cutter (got mine at michaels in the clay dept.) and then cutting it in half and letting it dry. Then I did the body and piping in royal icing, and painted in luster dust/vodka paint.

You can print out butterfly photos onto edible images, cut them out. Roll gumpaste or fondant with a bit of Tylose powder kneaded in, cut the gumpaste to the shape of the images, dry completely and attach the images.
