I am doing a 3 tiered castle cake for daughters 3rd birthday. I will be using the pointy ice cream cone for the castle roofs. What is the best to use dowel rods? Or paper towel roll? Thanks for the help

I'm not sure I'm understanding your question. Are you asking if you should use paper towel rolls under the ice cream cones with the dowels inside?

I once made a castle cake using large marshmallows on skewers for turrets. I cut corners into the cake and pasted them in with buttercream and frosted right over them.
