icon_biggrin.gif My 3 year old wants to be just like me. If I'm rolling she has to roll and she wants to cut out her own cookies, but I don't want to give her half of my dough so she can sneeze on it, drop it on the floor, eat it, etc.... But I also want to encourage her.

Anyone have a kid friendly recipe that I can make for her so she can cut her own cookies? I don't mind the flour and sugar... but butter is expensive...... So something that will roll and can be cut and even baked, but doesn't have butter or expensive ingredients icon_smile.gif

THANKS!

make up some salt dough, she can bake those and keep them for posterity. She can make beautiful easterdeco with those, that you can even colour and hang up. Plus she gets to see her cookies in the oven as well

I have a 2 year old who is always wanting to help me when I'm either baking or even cooking dinner. Thanks for sharing that website - I think I'm going to check that out and see what kinds of ideas they might have.
