I have a cake due this week and I am covering it with a white poured fondant icing, can I use this to pipe a shell border as well? I'd like a border on the top so I can fill it with a raspberry glaze. Is this possible?

Thanks,
Kathi

If the consistency is runny enough to pour I guess you couldn't pipe it. Sounds like a yummy idea though - why not try it on something like a biscuit first?

I was thinking that since it "stiffens up" as it cools that maybe if I let it cool a little then I could pipe it. Has anyone ever tried this?

I thought I'd post an update in case anyone else ever wanted to try this. It DOES NOT work. No matter how stiff it is when you pipe, a few minutes later you have beautifully smooth globs! icon_rolleyes.gif If only I could get my frosting this smooth!
