I have a set of tool cookie cutters that I want to use to make my dad cookies for his birthday. I know that I can use silver luster dust to achieve the "metal look" on the cookies, but I just tried it and don't really want to use luster dust over the entire cookie (pliers, wrench, etc.). Anyone have any suggestions for me? TIA

I would just color the icing a silver or grey and then use the luster dust to highlight just the top or some areas of the tools. HTH

I know that I can make gray icing, but I didn't think that there was anyway to make silver...except with luster dust. Maybe I will just try the gray with highlights. Thanks!

All the tools can have "rubber" handles & you can just make the "tool" part silver.

I don't know if that makes sense, but you can have a hammer w/a red hammer, pliers w/a blue handle, etc.
