The gentleman that this cake is for is in the music industry hes a producer to be exact and I cant think of what kind of cake to make I want it to be a sculptured cake thats all I know. I was thinking Money bag, music note, one of the pieces of equipment he uses, etc. HELP!

I read you post four times, I thought I was reading it wrong. You want to make your own wedding cake? Are you sure you can pull this off?

I don't even recommend the Mother of the Bride try to make the cake. If fact I turned my Daughter-in-law down when she ask if I would do her cake.

There is just way too much going on. You're going to have enough on your plate. Maybe you sure think about this some more.

Just a suggestion.

I would have to tell you to have someone help you, even if it is just delivering it and setting it up! I am getting married too and am thinking about making my cake too! I wasn't going too but I want something that people in my town won't do or I don't want to pay that much! Just make sure you know what you are doing cause it will be stressful without having to worry about making a cake!! You don't want that kind of stress on what is one of the most important days of your life!! I think your ideas are great, I like a music note or maybe an instrument! I would search in the pictures here to get some good ideas! At least you have lots of time to practice and plan!! Good luck and congratulations on getting married!

I second Janette. You have got to be crazy. This must be your first wedding. If you are making it yourself I would do it two weeks before. Freeze it. You wouldn't be able to do in fonadant before hand. I just think that is way crazy.
There are alot of last minute things that go on. Maybe you can barter with one someone you know who does cakes and exchange services if it is a money issue.

Thank you all for your reply. I have done wedding cakes before just not for my own wedding. I will be having some one else deliver and set up the cake for me on that day I will also be making extra incase of emergency.
I am a great organizer and planner and believe me when I say that I no what I'm getting myself into.
Both cakes will be made ahead of time and decorating is just what I need to be doing because it calms me, and I am going to need all the help I can get.
I realize that this is a big task that I am undertaking that is why I am getting all of the information I can just incase there is something I didnt think of.
THANK YOU ALL!
