I'm a fairly personal person so I don't usually post stories about myself. I have posted about DH and I trying to sell our house I think. It has now been about a month and we're 1 week shy of losing the contract on the house we want to buy. We have had 2 showings and 1 open house that 1 person showed up to. We're hoping that this one person is our ticket to our new home. They seemed pretty interested according to our agent and our agent found out they talked to her bank guy to get a pre-qualification letter. I know I've done that several times on houses we didn't put an offer in on for one reason or another, so I know not to really get my hopes up. I really would like this to go through.

I'm sick and tired of the kids around my current house being disrespectful of my property and the construction mess to the one side of my house (new house going up). Maybe its me but I believe parents should watch their kids outside playing or have at least instilled in them values like don't run across people's gardens.

Anyway, I really could use a few quick thoughts that we'll get a contract on our house so we can move on. Although I love our house b/c it is our first and we've created many wonderful memories in it, it is just time to move on. I am tired of being cramped when I cook. I'm tired of hearing the dogs bark all around the neighborhood. I'm tired of hollering at the neighbors' kids. The neighborhood we would move to is a nice upper-middle class, older (no new homes), well-established (no sh*t shacks) neighborhood. I know I probably sound like a snot, but honestly I just want some peace and quiet at home.

Thanks,
Dia

Hi Dia, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you to get a contract and sell your house very soon!

I know what you mean about the neighbor's kids, I'm living in a nice apartment complex, but in the last few months my section has become like a child care facility...the mothers go out with them, but the kids run wild all over the place for several hours a day.

This is wrong (even against the property rules), but management doesn't seem to care, and therein lies the problem. People just don't seem to give a darn about anybody but themselves anymore! I guess I'm going to have to move too, and it will be easier for me since I don't have to sell and buy, but I really hate moving!

Good luck, hopefully it will be over soon. Janice

I wish you luck. I don't have the wild neighborhood kids to contend with, (except the teens flying down the street with their brand new sports cars icon_mad.gif )but I have the blasted dogs to deal with at night. Why don't dog owners ever hear their own dogs? grrrrr... Best of luck in moving to your dream home. thumbs_up.gif
