I'll be using a double thick cardboard cake board. Is there any type of prep work I need to do to the board before I put the fondant on? TIA

Put a thin layer of piping gel on the board, then put your fondant on. Cut the fondant at the top edge of the board--don't fold it over the sides (mine always break off). After the fondant dries in a few days, hot glue-gun a ribbon on the edge.

Thanks. I wasn't sure how far in advance to make the board. Also, I wasn't sure if the piping gel would turn my board to mush. Thanks for your help. icon_smile.gif
