YOu need to let them dry for at least a few days.
how do i store them? i put them in a plastic baggie in the fridge, is that ok ? once they've harded do i just stick them into the cake or do i have to attached them somehow ?
Im not sure about MMF, but with regular fondant, you would just put it in a box, not airtight as it will keep any moisture and they may develop mould or may become soft. I just store my stuff on paper serviettes inside cardboard boxes. Would this be the same story with MMF???

Not sure about MMF but regular fondant, you do not put bow loops or curls in the fridge - the humidity softens them, they get soggy and soft again. They may spot too, w/ mositure (I don't put fondant cakes in the fridge). Store your loops/swirls in a cool dry place, protected from light to prevent fading.
