Hey everybody. This is my first cookie bouquet. I would LOVE and apreciate some feedback. I made it for my neices for Easter. They are 3 and 1 so they probably won't eat it anyway haha. Also, how much would you pay for it? I used the No Fail Sugar Cookie recipe for the first time! My family LOVES it.. especially my 11 year old. Thanks for your input.

Great job mississippigirl!

I'll be trying my first cookie bouquet just for practice soon, and I hope mine come out just as nice as yours.

Your cookies turned out really cute. Here a just a few suggestions for selling. First, and I know this may sound weird, but an odd number of cookies is more appealing to the eye, so you may want to make them with 5 cookies instead of 4. The container you used is adorable, wish I had some of them. The raffia is a cute touch, just make sure it is tucked into the bucket nicely. Other than that, you are doing a great job.

I am selling cookie bouquets for Easter and I am doing 4 eggs and a bunny head. I'm doing mine in little buckets too. The only addition is that I am going to put in some easter chocolates that I am making from molds. I am charging 25.00 each for them and have 8 orders. Hope this helps.

This is so true! It's true in landscaping, too. It's also true of prime numbers. Go figure.

Thank you so much for the comments and suggestions. I was going to do 5 but i figured 2 each for my 2 neices ....and didn't want my sister to kill me for the sugar rush LOL. I will definately do 5 next time. Thanks for the suggestion. I got the container at Dollar General. they are usually 2.00 but are on clearance for 1.33. i may have to go back and get a few more for that price. Thanks again fo rthe feeback. I absolutely love this site. I'm glad i came across it. You all are so nice and good at what you do. icon_biggrin.gif

I think you did a great job, they look wonderful! I'm sure your neices will love!

My only suggestion, as I see was already pointed out, was to make sure and put in an odd number of cookies in order to appeal to the eye. I worked years in retail management and merchandising was my big thing, always did things in groups of odd numbers. Makes for a better display. However, as a mom I completely understand only doing 4 for the two kids...don't want a fight! Great thinking! Even numbers when giving to your neices, odd when selling to customers icon_smile.gif

Well Mississippigirl, you asked for honest input and here it is: Those are very, very cute cookies! I like the style and the packaging, especially that each cookie is individually wrapped. Great job!! And Welcome to CC!! icon_biggrin.gif

On the topic of cookie bouquets, how do all of you "fill" your containers? We were taught with dry beans and styrofoam circles but I wondered if anyone had a better idea.

Mississippi Girl your bouquet looks adorable! I understand needing to be equal for the kids!!!!! icon_razz.gif

Gabbenmom-Since this was my first one, i am far from knowing anything.. however, i can tell you what i did. I just put about half a 'brick' of floral foam in the bottom of the containter and then i stuck the wooden skewers in it. I had to trim them a little because they seemed too tall, but that seemed to work fine for me. Then i added the easter grass stuff. I'm not sure what everyone else uses. ... hope this helps! And thank you so much for the comments and feedback! I really apreciate it.

I LOVE this - can I ask - about how much do you have invested in making this beautiful creation?

You did a great job! I either do 3, 5, or 7 cookies in a container. I weight the bottom down with some of those glass rocks, and then put the styrofoam. Target has some cute pails in their dollar section. I bought 50 the other day and evryone loves them. They only have them at Easter and Valentine's so I buy as many as my store has.

Melissa1972- funny that you ask that. i just sat down and tried to figure it up the best i could. The recipe i used made a lot of cookies and i used 2 makings of icing. The whole thing (bucket, cello etc) ended up costing me about 5.50.. which i didn't think was bad. Thanks for the nice comments. Ya'll are all making me want to start on another one thumbs_up.gif

I saw some little buckets that look like this at Target in their $1 bin near the entrance. I'm betting the Targets all over the US would have them (yellow, pink & green). I'm getting ready to try one of these as well. Hope my turns out as cute.

They look very cute.
One comment: try to put the cookies in levels, the front ones shorter than the back ones.

I know the rule is supposed to be odd numbers but I do 4-cookie arrangements often. I put one up high, two off to each side and one down low. Your eggs are terrific looking, I would just arrange them so that you get the benefit of seeing all of them.

If you wanted another item, you could make a Happy Easter greeting from cardboard or something to make up the numbers, and fill in the space.

Nice bouquet. Not to sound nit pickey but I think they would look even nicer centered with your design on the pail, and as someone else said already 1 high, 2 to the sides and the last one lower but in line with the higher one. I think bigger ribbons as well.

Since i'm here, question to all: Do you then put the whole bouquet into a cellophane gift bag or just give as is?
