Has anyone ever made a gumpaste teacup & saucer? I've seen them in ICES contests & they look like real china cups & saucers. Are there moulds to make them? Any advice/ suggestions are appreciated. Thanks

Have you tried molding one using the inside of a real cup as a mold? And for the saucer you could maybe try to use the bottom part of a saucer as your mold. When they dry just add the details they are lacking. thumbs_up.gif Good luck.

I just ordered a mold from kitchenkrafts.com. It's a chocolate mold but it will work for gumpaste and fondant also, I'm sure. It was $2.25.

dsoutherngirl, is the chocolate mould for miniature or regular size? I'm looking for regular size cup & saucer. reenie, I've been thinking about using a real cup & saucer as moulds, but haven't quite figured out how to do it. Thanks for the suggestions everyone.

bunny, I wanted full-size also. The mold for the cup that I purchased holds 4 1/2 oz. and is 3 inches deep and the saucer is 3 inches in diameter.

Nati, that looks like what I want, but I don't want to bake a cake in the cup, just have an empty gumpaste cup & saucer. The saucer is exactly what I'm looking for. Would appreciate any directions. You can pm them to me if you like. Thanks

dsoutherngirl, when u get your moulds could u pm me & let me know what they look like, I took a look on kitchenkrafts.com, but they don't show the actual mould, just what the chocolate looks like after its done. With the thickness of the chocolate, I'm not sure if it would be OK for gumpaste.

Ok, will do when i get home, so what you're after is something more like whats on this table?? But you want it regular sized rather than miniature. It should be quite ok to do, will send some isntructions.
