Chocolate Sugar Cookie Receipe??

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I searched and could not find anything.
If someone has a tried and true receipe they are willing to share for a Chocolate Sugar cookie that I can roll out it would be greatly appreciated.

icon_smile.gif hi ther i hav 2 u can choose from i knw that when u needed them has been n gone but u can keep it up your sleeve for the nxt time u need it heheh

CHOC CUT OUT COOKIES

1/2 C butter
3/4C sugar
1 egg
1 tsp anilla
1 1/2 C plain flour
1/3C unsweetemed cocoa powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt

Beat butter n sugar together add egg and vanilla beat till combined stir all dry ingredience together and add to wet mix combin well put dough in fridge wrapped up fpr 1-2hrs or over night , roll out , cut out bickies n pre heat oven to 180 bake for 5-8 mins let cool on tray

second recipe is a sugar cookie one and i guess if u added cocoa piowder to it you;d get your choc sugar cookies

(this recipe is great for modelling like in your choc moulds etc)

1C butter
13oz cream cheese softened
3/4Csugar
1 tsp vanilla
3C plain flour

combin all ingred. except flour and beat on med speed reduce to low once creamy and gradually add flour mix till all combined and divide into 2 even balls wrap in plastic and put in fridge till firm at least 2hrs pre heat oven 180 roll out cut out or mould and bake for 6-8 mins let cool on try

Hi pixie_dust51

the second recipe really looks interesting. Just one question, there is no baking powder or such? Are the cookies crunchy or soft? How well do they hold the shape after baking? do you have any pics of that recipe, stuff you made?

icon_smile.gif hi ther Ursula40 im not sure about the second recipe as i havnt made them yet only the 1ts one but i hav heard that once u pull it out of the mould etc and bake it it keeps it shape but im not sure if they are hard or soft sorry but if you do try it let us knw how u go !!!!!
