Every day I have at least 2 pms (sometimes 10) asking me how to make certain gumpaste flowers, and although I am always willing to share or answers questions when I can, I hesitate to give directions when you can no longer buy the cutters and veiners needed to make these flowers. Today while searching for gumpaste Poppy cutters and veiners, this site came up. Really detailed tutorials on gumpaste flowers. Click on each category, but also click on "home" and check out their other tutorials on icing, fondant, etc.

For instance, on nearly all of the flowers I make I use my cutters and veiners from years ago made by Rosemary Watson's Sugar Bouquets. No one I know of carries the same quality or even something close, so you have to hunt and peck when looking for them. Even with these tutorials you may have to do that, but on the Poppies I can see using a rose petal cutter and either an all purpose veiner or even a dried corn husk to vein the petals. So, here is the link, take from it what interests or applies to you.

My understanding is she closed her business after a divorce and doesn't plan to reopen. Sunflower Art is making some veiners that are similar to some of her flowers, but not exactly the same.

I don't Janette, but Global Sugar Art is now carrying some Sunflower cutters and Veiners.

Even the Easy flowers are beautiful! Just love violets - might just try making some for a Mother's Day cake for my older sister.

From a transplanted Californian - thanks Shirly for the link to this website. I'll have to go back and look through at my very old cake decorating books and see if I have anything by Rosemary Watson. Again, thanks for sharing. thumbs_up.gif

Your welcome everyone. Cookie I don't believe Rosemary Watson ever came out with a book, she just printed a few "how to" articles in her catalog and produced the three video tapes on VHS format.
