I live in Michigan. I am sick of buying cake boxes for 2 to 4 dollars a box. I don't want to get 100 of one size either because I don't make that many cakes. Any ideas on where I can get cake boxes reasonably priced in person or on line.

I purchase mine at www.countrykitchensa.com
You can buy them in large or small quantities
I find them to be reasonably priced

I got this link from another thread about the same thing. You could buy just one or large orders.

Unfortunately by the time you order and pay the shipping, you are backup to $2 a box almost...I started calling around and I found a party store in my area that sold them to me cheaper. I did buy 100 of 12x12x6 and 100 round cardboards at a time. And she gave me like a 20% discount. Call or shop around at places other than the craft stores...the ones that you just buy singly at this store are a lot cheaper that Michaels or Ac Moore regularly! Good lucK!

I'm also from Michigan and have found a few websites that are really useful. You enter what you're looking for and it will bring up a list of local grocers who have it on sale and the price. For instance, this week Meijer has Betty Crocker for as low as .89Cents, Farmer Jack has American Choice 10 for $10.00 Try the following link: http://www.mygrocerydeals.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=lst.dspShopping I just did the free trial, but it comes in handy.

I checked Amazon Grocery and even though Betty Crocker is $21.75 for 12 mixes, free ship, and no tax, it still comes out to $1.81 per box-srtill high.

I have used the generic brands and have found them to be as good as name brands. I never make a box cake without checking a few website, like 100 cakes to make with cake mix, recipes for box cakes. You would be amazed at the amount and things people have done with cake mixes to make them so much better. Check out these:

Hope this helped.
