So would I go about getting a "chocolate" Brown royal Icing?

It is to go on a dummy cake for a bride.

Can I just use Cocoa and Wilton Brown like I do with BC? Or is there a better method?

when colouring royal icing I find it best to use paste or powder colours as the liquids can often alter the consistency too much of the royal icing especially if a dark or deep colour is needed.

I guess, I'm more wondering if I add cocoa if it will "keep" since it is a dummy cake.

I just checked my can of Hershey's cocoa powder and it has a small amount of fat in it.

I've never tried it, but I would think that the fat would keep the royal from setting up properly.

hmmm....I'm going to have to check mine out. I'm sure I can just use lots of tint too. I just find it easier to use cocoa and then tint.

Thanks!
