U Wont Believ What I Found When My Spatula Broke Gross!!!!!!

Ok so I'm making cake and my rubber spatula just popped from William Sonoma too I paid big money for the sucker thinking I was buying quality anyways the part of the stick that goes inside the rubber part was black with mold!!!!!!!!!! I mean the sucker had eyes and everything how can they possibly sell these things if they are as unsanitary as they come !!!!!!! I have been using this for cakes left and right I cook with these I went straight to the trash wait maybe I should take it to the store they need to know about this or am I the only who didn't know people have these everywhere and not just the ones from WS I think all rubber spatulas are the same oh my cat should I start this cake all over!!!!!!! I use them to scrape batter too not just icing... I am so freaking out right now!!!!! What am I going to do????? the black mold is not on the outside part of the stick but is growing on the same stick people can get really sick from this!!! Just wanted to share

im going to have to go break all my spatulas to see if there moldy. Do you always dry them right after washing maybe that would have helped.
Do they NOT come apart? All the ones I have come apart for that reason. SO you can wash them apart adn let them air dry! Sorry to hear this. I would consider remaking the cake, just for safety! I would also take the thing back to the store and get a new ONLY if the come apart! If they dont come apart I would get your money back!! GOod Luck!
