How Early Can I Make The Mm Fondant?

I have a teapot cake due next Friday and want to make as much as I can ahead of time. Could I make it tomorrow and it last in a sealed bag until I need to roll it out for the cake? It's the pink teapot cake I have to make. I think I remember that if it's tough I can microwave it for a few seconds and it be OK? If anyone could tell me how early they made it before putting it on cake that would be great info! Again you are all so much help. I feel bad that I haven't been on here to answer any questions lately. I can't wait until it "slows" down.
I think after next week I might say "no" for a while because I'm due with baby #2 in 8 weeks and I want to pack and get the new nursery ready and start nesting.
i thought you could never put mmf in the fridge??? or the freezer for that fact... doesn't it melt or something cuz of the marshmallows??? i don't know, i just thought i remembered people telling me that if i was going to make my wedding cake out of it that we couldn't freeze or refrigerate it for some reason... if it works though, then that's great, it would make the cake a lot easier... anyone else who's done this???
I made my MMF a couple of weeks before I needed it. I put it in a ziplock baggie-after squeezing out as much air as I could. It worked great!! The partygoers and customer loved the way it tasted. I also kept pinching some off every coupkle of days to see if it wasn't stale. And I did nuke a piece to see if it would go back to it's original state and it did. It actually came out smoother after the nuking! Hope this helps.
I will make the MMF tonight and it's for a cake for this coming Saturday. That'll be one less thing I have to do last minute. I hope this teapot cake comes out better than my first one.
Thanks for the happy nesting wishes. I am also going to try to make a "birth" day cake for my new baby. I did that with my first and baked while I was in early stages of labor. Then I only had pink icing sitting around and never got to finish the cake and make new neutral icing and so my son had a pink cake (my dh finished it for me and brought to hospital).
I just wanted to say that when I made the MMF, I had problems with it being too sticky. I finally got my stuff for the cake cut out, and put the leftovers in a ziploc baggie and left it on the counter for a few days. Well, some of my pieces got stuck and broke, and I ended up having to cut some more out the day before, and after sitting for a few days my MMF was absolutely perfect to worth with. So, my point is that I think it was better after sitting for a few days. I don't know if anyone else had a problem with it being too sticky though.

i put a little crisco on my fingers, then it's not so sticky, it doesn't stick at all
