I have made little buckets from coffee cans. Just spray paint the outside of the can (use an Easter color). Put a small hole on opposite sides of the can at the top and use a heavy guage craft wire, wrap it around a wooden spoon to make it spiral and attach it to the can as a handle. I would decorate the can with some bunnies and chicks (you can cut them out from material or paper or use transfers from Walmart or Michaels, etc. Then you have a nice container to fill with candy, cookies, etc. I like filling mine with "Chex Brittle". I put a clear plastic candy bag (the type from a craft store) into the can and then fill with the candy.
Chex Brittle
1/2 C. water
1 C. Packed Brown sugar
1/4 C. Light corn syrup
1 tsp. salt
3/4 C. peanuts
1/4 tsp baking soda
2 Tbsp. margarine
5 C. Corn Chex cereal
Heat sugar, corn syrup, water & salt to 250 degrees (Hard ball), in heavy 4 qt. sauce pan over medium heat, add nuts.
Continue cooking over low heat to 285 degrees. (brittle in cold water) stir constantly.
Remove from heat. Mix in soda and margarine. Stir in Chex to coat all pieces working quickly.
Spread on greased baking sheet. Seperate into thin layer with greased forks. Cool. Break into bite size pieces.
