I made a banana chocolate chip cake the other day and all the chips sunk to the bottom of the pan and stuck

are there any tips or hints to keep them through out the cake ?

I recently read on here that someone put a light coat of flour on the chocolate chips and it kept them in place=) Jen

I sprinkle the chocolate chips on top of the batter before baking rather than mixing them into the batter.
I use a rubber spatula to gently smooth the chips into the cake so they're not sticking up.

I use the mini ones and they seem to work better and don't sink like the normal size ones.

I coat them with flour and use the minis. Also, try freezing them before adding to the batter.

Can I ask, how much do you use in your recipe? I've never had the problem of them sinking . . . umm, what kind of morsels do you use? I have been using Nestle Tollhouse and they work great.

I too put them on the top rather than mix them in and don't have a problem.

I like using the mini's instead too, never have had a sinking problem with those.
