Is there such a thing? I am making a chocolate groom's cake and I think a chocolate IMBC would be lovely! Does anyone have a recipe for a good one?

Sure you can. I particularly like lemon curd mixed in myself, but you can do a chocolate one.

Would I mix in melted chocolate or cocoa powder?

I have made chocolate IMBC by adding melted chocolate (I think I used melted semisweet chips). I just added the melted, cooled chocoalte after I added the butter. It was delicious! icon_biggrin.gif

For Martha Stewart's recipe, I add 6 ounces of dark unsweetened melted chocolate (or bittersweet or semi-sweet, whatever you have) and 1/2 cup of dark chocolate unsweetened cocoa powder.

I use Callebaut chocolate, but the Baker's brand squares (1 ounce each) at the grocery store are just fine too. Melt it and let it cool for a few minutes before drizzling it in as the machine whips slowly.
