Has Anyone Tried Adding Jello Powder To Buttercream?

Adding Jello Powder to their buttercream? For instance mix the powder with the water, and then mix into buttercream (don't use any extra water than what is already called for)
I was wondering if this would flavor the butter cream?
Hmmm...the things you think of in the car!
I've done that before, but I just added the straight powder to the buttercream without mixing it with water. Keep in mind, though, that if it's a colored jello that it will tint the BC whatever color it is. As for the flavor, it was pretty good. Not sure I'd do it again though, unless requested, as it didn't exactly WOW me, but it was good.
I don't know about buttercream - but I substituted Orange Jello gelatin for unflavored gelatin in my rolled fondant recipe and it turned out wonderful.
I would think you could use it like you do unflavored gelatin in stabilized whipped cream icing also. You just need to adjust for the included sugar content.
Let us know if anyone uses it in buttercream. I'm really interested because it opens up a world of flavoring possibilities.
