Just wondering how much (cup) this stick of butter would equal. I've only ever seen butter by the pound. I would love to try the buttercream dream recipe, but have no clue how much butter to use.Thank you in advance for any and all answers
The small sticks of butter are generally 1/2 cup. The ones I have seen say how many Tbl / cups, etc. on the side of the stick.
Thank you ChrisJ Now I can try out a few new recipes.
A one lb. container of butter contains 4 sticks, each stick weighing 4 oz. or 1/4 cup.
each stick is 1/2 up
I think there is a typo here -- A stick of butter is 1/2 cup there is 2 cups in 1lb.Tammy
Oh OOps, back to the old drawing board for me.
