i am making a first nirthday cake for my daughter and have never carved a cake. i have seen many 1 cakes on this site but i can't figure out if they are carved or cake panned. could you tell me where to get this pan, if there is one or could you give me instructions on how to carve the cake. thanks. :cry icon_surprised.gificon_surprised.gif

Try looking on ebay. Wilton isn't currently making one but they have made them in the past.

Cake stores sometimes rent their pans. You can see if one near you has one that you can rent.

There are some on Ebay right now, I searched for "1 cake" in the cookware/bakeware section and got quite a few. It says it was made in 1979 so they are old lol. GL!

I'm sure you could make the number 1 following the directions (picture) that ''destini'' submitted for you. It's only 3 straight cuts and stick them together to make the 1.
Although I'm a big ebay shopper, I would rather do this very simple ''one'' this way than pay for a pan you may never use again and the shipping costs too.
Good luck and please post a picture of the finished cake however you do it.
