I was asked to do a 16th birthday cake for a girl. I have only 2 days to do it. There isn't a theme. All she said was she likes pink and purple. and she trusts me. They will be having a DJ but she didn't indicate whether she wanted it formal or fun. Any ideas on what I should meke. She did say she wouldn't mind it being different layers/ tiers. Help!!
I would call and make sure whether she wants whimsical or formal 
if she wants fun you should do a topsy turvy cake those look fun and eye catching I will look through the gallery and see what i can come up with.
I made a polka dot cake for a 15 year old girl. Her favorite colors were pink and lime green. Turned out really cute. I do not have the ability to post pictures but I made the cake (3 layer) appear to have landed on top of two polka dots (one pink and one green which was actually a forth layer cut in half and attached to the sides. I cut my dots from rolled buttercream. I finished the cake by rolling the rolled buttercream into balls and placing where a piped border would be. Maybe a pink and purple polka dot cake would work for you. Hope this helps. tbcakes
