Does anyone have directions for putting a cookie bouquet together? I need to know what styrofoam to use to have some cookies tall some medium and some short. Is it the stryrofoam you use to get the different heights or do you use lollipop sticks with different lengths? Is their a tutorial out there showing how to put one together?
Can anyone help???
Thanks
there is a tutorial on here somewhere.
My advice is this:
decide what type of vessel will hold your bouquet ( I like small buckets that I get at the craft store.)
Cut a piece of foam to fit snugly in the bottom.
Stick your cookies in at angles so that they fit closely together and aren't too tall.
Fillin with candy, paper shred, or tissue paper.
You can either wrap each cookie individually, wrap the whole basket with cello, or do both (that's what I do, they stay really fresh).
Hope that helps! There is a picture of my first bouquets in my pics, and I just did some spring themed ones last night.
Post pics when you're done.
I've used both styrofoam (the white stuff) and florist foam (the green stuff). I liked the green better, only because it was easier to find what I needed and it was cheaper. I decide how I want the bouquet to look before I bake the cookies, because I use two different lengths of cookie sticks and the cookies in the back get the longer sticks (which are also more expensive than the shorter ones). I usually end up trimming the sticks of the front cookies as well. I place a piece of tissue paper (12"x12" for a 5" clay pot) in the pot before adding the foam. I then lay another sheet of tissue paper on top of the foam and stick the cookies thru it. I add candies or mini-marshmallows to fill out the top of the pot. Play with some different ideas. Everybody likes different treatments.
