I am wanting to make a 3-d eeyore cake sitting up.. and i thought about using my 3-d bear pan for the shape... and i didnt know if anyone has tried to this befor if so did it work? and any suggestions on how to do the ears and get them to stay... please help!!!

you could do the ears in gumpste and fondant. Insert wire into them before they dry and just stick them right on when you are ready. Just a thought.

My friend just did an elephant with this pan that turned out sooo cute!! She did the ears and trunk out of fondant and used lollipop sticks in it. She carved like slots in the sides of the head where the ears would go and then just inserted them. She made the ears about a week ahead of time to allow them to dry thoroughly. I have read that if you put gumpaste in your fondant though that it will dry faster!

I made a dog out of the 3-d bear pan once. I also baked a 9 inch round to cut up and use for the legs. It wasn't the easiest cake I ever did, but it did work. Good Luck
