This morning a friend asked me to make a cake for her son's birthday. She wants a 9x13 pokemon cake. I don't even watch pokemon and have no ideas. Anyone made 1 I can look at or any ideas would be great. By the way, it's needed by Saturday night.

Have you looked through the gallery? A friend of mine just asked me about a pokemon cake today and this is what I came up with. Take a pyrex bowl make two cakes the same. Level them fill them and put them together. Do one half red and the other white with a black line around them and you have a pokeball!

You could just get some little pokemon toys from the toy store to put on the cake. I know they sell them in packs of 3 for about $5. That would probably be the easiest way to go.

we actually had a pokemon party for my son..years ago. at the time the pokemon figures were easy to find. i don't know if that's still the case. anyways, i made a small 6" cake for each guest. i put my bc in between the layers and put a pokemon guy in also. then when i put everything together, i decorated it like a pokeball(like described above). so they kinda each got a pokemon in their pokeball.you could probably do that with cupcakes too, then just have a sheet cake with some guys on top. or maybe layer a sheet cake a place a few in the layers(if you want to layer)

Thank you everyone. I just got back from a drs. appt, so I'm sorry for the delay in answering. I like your ideas and I didn't know there was such a thing as a pokeball. They do have figures at Big Lots and the ball w/ the figure sounds great. Thank you sooooo much icon_biggrin.gif as I was sooooo stuck thumbs_up.gif . LOL Zola
