I was asked to do baking theme cupcakes (2 doz) and was going to make the cupcakes into chef hats, can anyone give me any ideas how I would do this? I bought white nut cups to use as a base and was wondering how to assemble the top of the hat. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks
Darlene

The easiest way would probably be to roll out a circle of white fondant and to attach it to the top of a cupcake loosely, let it sort of fall in drapes but the edges of the circle, which has to be bigger than the top part of the cupcake, has to attach to the top edge of it. boy written down that sounds complicated, but i can see it in my minds eye. I made one of gumpaste, hold on, I'll take a pic

I wanted it to look like the one my daughter will wear to her cake decorating party on Saturday, that's why the painting is on on the hat
