I have been using the Wilton paste/gel colors. All my colors come out pastel! How do I get a deep dark color? Last week I was supposed to make a deep green for leaves. No matter how much green I added, I never got to a deep green color.

Is there a trick I don't know about? I am needing to ge a deep red, blue and black tonight so any pointers before I begin would be great! I am going to make baseball cookies using RI. I need to add the threads and some numbers, what consistency should I use?

Use a heck of a lot of color.....

Have fun! LOL

I made black BC a few weeks back, I had to make a decent amount, I used a whole small container of Americolor black, and then a whole container of Wilton black before it got black.... for deep colors like that you just have to use a LOT of coloring... red will be the same....
