My daughter is 14 months old and now has a pretty pink cast on her leg. She got her leg stuck in out futon and fell backwards. When she fell it broke her little leg in three places. She hasn't ever walked yet, and her doctor assured us that it won't happen in the next month while she has the cast on, so I guess we can quit trying to get her to. It is the saddest but cutest sight ever. She is learning how to crawl around with it on. We are going to Disney in about two weeks and she gets to wear it around while we are there. I am hoping to see some characters and get them to sign it so she'll have their signatures forever. Anyway, I feel so bad for her, but it is really cute.

Aw, your poor baby, just thinking about what happend made me cringe. How did you stand it, I would've flipped out! Was she in alot of pain? Duh of course she was. Good thing she's still little, I wouldn't want to go to Disney with a cast. I'm sure she'll get quite a few signatures from the characters, that would be something to remember! Have a great time!

Awww.. you're poor baby! She's one tough cookie. My dad fell and broke his wrist the day before we went to Disney two weeks ago. Is there something in the air??

I remember my sister having a cast on when she was just over a year old. She fell down two stairs that she tried to crawl up and broke her arm.

You poor daughter i hope she is alright now.

Oh, poor baby girl. She will bounce back from this faster than you will. My son knocked a front tooth out in a fall at about age 2, you just feel so guilty for not being able to protect them. So for now, take lots of pictures and yes, have the Disney characters sign here cast for posterity.

My son broke his leg when he was 21 months old. I agree with you, it is sad, but it is the CUTEST thing!!! He rode from place to place on his little horse and then crawled up on the couch or chair or where ever he was going. He had a walking cast on. When someone would see him with his cast he would raise up his leg and say "write on it"...

My step-daughter broke her leg when she was four and she scooted all over the place. She is 25 now and her nickname is still SCOOTER.

Be sure to take plenty of pictures of her...hopefully this will be her last cast!!

I broke my leg when I was about that age. My mom says I climbed out of the crib..... icon_confused.gif Just kidding! Of course I dont remember it, but they did put a walking cast on and I guess i did drag the thing around (but I had been walking already I think!)

Your poor daughter. It is painful to see your children get hurt. My DD nearly amputated her finger at the age of 2 and it was my fault. It was several weeks before I stopped making myself feel guilty. Now you wouldn't even know it unless you look close. Your daughter will be up and running before you know it.

I broke both of my arms. You may want to rethink about having the Disney characters signing the cast. They stink after they take them off. When my daughter broke her arm a few years ago she wanted to keep it until she smelled it. Went right in the garbage. We have been to Disney. We took an autograph book (buy it before you go to save some $). We had the character sign on one side and put a picture of our girls standing beside the character on the other side. Turned out cute - that way if you can't read the signature you at least have the picture beside it to see who it was.

POOR BABY!! That is the most tragically adorable picture!! You had to be dying when it happened! I am glad you are handling it so well. We have to be tough as nails, don't we? Good luck with that... kiss her for all of us!!
