I see lots of cakes with toppers that seem to be mounted on pieces of curled metal wire. What are people using to get those toppers up in the air and where do I buy them.
Thanks,
April
If you mean the toppers with eg. heart or star shapes that almost look suspended in the air above the top tier of the cake, I believe they use strong guage flower wire. You can buy it at cake decorating shops.
I haven't done them yet myself. I have heard some people also using thin guage wire from hardware shops.
Hope that helps.
Maybe this would help

Both of those suggestions were great! Thank you and I loved the Wilton "25" idea. Where would I buy the wire. Won't normal wire rust?
