This is my first gum paste shoe. I am practicing for a bridal shower cake coming up. The bride wants a simple shoe with bow. There is luster dust on the shoe but you can't see it in the photo. What should I do besides practice to make it look better and dress it up a bit without embossing it? Any opinion would be very helpful. Thanks!

I think your shoe looks lovely. The only thing I would do is taking your fingers smooth the bottom edge around the front sole of the shoe to give it a smoother finish. Otherwise it looks wonderful! thumbs_up.gifthumbs_up.gif

I think it looks great too! Your bow is absolutely perfect!
I wouldn't touch it either!

Thank you for your compliments and suggestions, I guess I need to quit comparing it to other people's shoes when it is my first. Thanks again!

Honest opinion? I don't think you need to add anything else at all. I would steam it to bring out the depth and shine of the dust but that's all.

Thanks! I think that would help a lot! She wants it simple but I thought it needed more, maybe with more shine I will feel better about it. Thanks again!
